Aerial photos & Maps
The aerial images below were extracted from the Land Information area of the fab Columbia County site. There you can zoom and move around in any area of the County in a composite of the 1995 orthophotography project. The following images are compiled for a good overview of the Poynette area, but for more detail you might want to start here.
The area map comes from the U. S. Census Bureau's Tiger mapping site, where you can choose the area you want and then apply various census data to the map.
You will need to scroll around to see all of each image after clicking on the small version below. In the area view and map, Poynette is in the center, with the Village of Arlington at lower center, Lodi at lower left, and Rio at upper right. Warning: the first three files are large (~500k)!
Topo maps can be seen through Topo Zone or Wisconsin DNR. More comprehensive layered maps can be set up at the USGS National Map Viewer; unfortunately you have to zero in on the location yourself.
